The company has 12 issued and 22 patents pending in the area of drug delivery systems and pharmaceutical grade water production. Leveraging its expertise in portable water purification, the company has developed a new line of consumer products, the TRITON M Water Purification Systems, which are targeted at the outdoor recreation, military, emergency response and international travel markets.
Through extensive research and development for US Department of Defense and Office of Naval Resources, PRISMEDICAL was the first to develop and market an FDA-approved product for producing Sterile Purified Water (USP) in the field without reverse osmosis or distillation. The company’s MainStream® Water Purification Device produces sterile water that can be used for cleaning and rinsing wounds, infection control and a dilutent for oral vaccines or drug preparations.
This “real time” patented technology also enables significant improvements in Homeland Security by improving civilian and military medical preparedness and rapid response to life threatening events in pre-hospital settings.
